This group is a small but dedicated group of women who meet at the church monthly to make quilts. The quilts are made for babies that are baptized at Westminster and also for the children of the Valerie Center at Overlook Hospital. The Valerie Center is a place where children with blood disorders or cancer go to receive their treatments. These hospitalized children are given a quilt, afghan or blanket to comfort them and keep them warm during their treatments. They are allowed to keep these "comfort quilts" and bring them back and forth between home and hospital during these necessary treatments. This group continues to learn new quilting techniques and enjoy the fellowship of one another, just like an old-fashioned quilting bee. The group meets on the first Thursday of each month at 9:30 A.M. and is open to all members, nursery school parents and friends.
